The WWII historian or just the ordinary interested person is highly depending on original pictures from the time and place were history happened.

Today the research of WWII is done by the children or grandchildren of the actual individuals living and fighting during the war.

Without this great source of pictures it would be nearly impossible to imagine what it was like to live in those days.

Also the use of old-fashioned technology can be studied by using vintage photography.
